From Mahitahi Hauora PHE

The reason I became an ACC advocate was due to the fact that I suffered a treatment injury back in 1997 that is incurable, which prevented me from working full-time, ACC did not accept my claim, so having all this free time on my hands I needed to do something. I became an advocate while living out in Hikurangi, 14 years later I am still helping people to varying stages of their claim. During this time I have built up a very good business and a network of medical service providers who make referrals to me and vice versa, and when asked I offer advice to other non-profit organisation such as Brain Injury Association. My main core of business is getting claimants that have been turned down (for cover or entitlements) by ACC getting these decisions quashed during the review or District Court Appeal process.
