Doublethink in action: correct science is misused to support misinformation

Do highly-paid senior management at Health New Zealand actually READ the articles their dept sends out in OIA responses? The mind boggles.

Back in August 2023, I posted a summary of my Orwellian experience of correspondence with Health New Zealand, after I asked for evidence of their “Pre-Employment” (for new healthcare staff contracts) Policy, which insisted that “Category A” (close contact) staff are ‘expected’ to be ‘fully vaccinated’ with the covid jabs.

In summary, the Pre-Employment policy document from Health NZ did not have any citations to support their stated requirements for expecting all new staff to have the mRNA experimental jab. So I inquired where that evidence was.

I received an OIA response (after much delay and a complaint to the Ombudsman), which paradoxically actually provided references (see above post) which (obviously) did NOT support the jab mandates. Nothing could, right? In fact, some of the articles concluded THE OPPOSITE. As I describe above, either the articles were investigating the ethics, not the science, looking at the flu jab, not the covid ones, or were based on small samples that were overseas and at the beginning of the covid era (when published literature about the risks were censored).

So, I sent another complaint to the Ombudsman to explain that an OIA response that does not correspond with the actual question, does not represent a factual response. Either Health NZ cannot read the actual citations they sent me, or….well we know that actually the evidence does not exist.

So while my complaint is with the Ombudsman for further consideration, here is the response today (copied in full) from Health NZ:

Kia ora Ursula,

We are responding to your email of 19 October 2023 regarding a response we sent you on 1 September 2023.

“The information you have sent me – as I explain below – confirms THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what you claim is the OIA response. ie the evidence supplied does NOT support your continued ‘vaccine’ mandate policy on pre-employment documents.

Can you please explain this – or simply revoke the document that is anti-science – as we await the response from the Ombusdman?”

While the Act allows New Zealanders to ask for information from Ministers and government agencies, there is no requirement for agencies to create new information, compile information they do not hold or provide or prove an opinion. Your question(s) and the statements that support them appear designed to engage in a debate about the Government’s COVID-19 vaccination programme, rather than a request for official information. The Act does not support requests where an opinion, comment, argument, or hypothetical statement is put to the agency for response, couched as a request for information. Your request, via your follow-up emails, is therefore refused under section 18(g) on the grounds that it is not held by Te Whatu Ora.

So there you go. We are in the depths of a national healthcare collapse, with extreme staff shortages, long wait lists, volunteer paramedics who are stretched beyond capacity and record high levels of all-cause mortality.

Meanwhile, Health NZ requires all ‘new’ staff (including those staff sacked during the mandates, but willing to be re-employed) to be ‘vaccinated’ on the basis of ‘evidence’ that Health NZ itself acknowledges does NOT exist, whilst simultaneously supplying evidence of reasons NOT to be ‘vaccinated’ with covid mRNA experimental jabs.
