The Obama administration is making a distinction between its drone war and the latest ISIS War in Syria.
From Yahoo News:
The White House has acknowledged for the first time that strict standards President Obama imposed last year to prevent civilian deaths from U.S. drone strikes will not apply to U.S. military operations in Syria and Iraq.
A White House statement to Yahoo News confirming the looser policy came in response to questions about reports that as many as a dozen civilians, including women and young children, were killed when a Tomahawk missile struck the village of Kafr Daryan in Syria’s Idlib province on the morning of Sept. 23.
Those “strict standards” were in response to growing protests in Pakistan and elsewhere. Now that the U.S. is fighting beheaders and crucifiers, the gloves are off and any number of innocent civilians can and will most certainly be killed.
Syrians are outraged by the air strikes slaughtering civilians, but that will not stop the U.S. and its partners from killing children.
According to the official narrative Kafr Daryan was targeted because “U.S officials believed members of the so-called Khorasan group were plotting attacks against international aircraft.”
As Glenn Greenwald and others have documented, Khorasan is fake. It is a manufactured threat designed to give the Pentagon all the carte blanche cover it needs to destroy Syria.
