Dr William Hirzy is a former Senior Vice-President of the Union for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
He has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Missouri. He has been involved in environmental and human health risk assessment for 36 years, in the chemical industry, then at EPA HQ as senior risk assessment scientist.
Since 1986, at EPA as a union officer, he has studied and followed the developing science on fluoride toxicity.
On June 29th, 2000, Dr Hirzy was invited to give testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, and Water on behalf of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) Chapter 280 – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Headquarters.
At the time, Dr. Hirzy was serving his sixth term as the Senior Vice-President of the Union. His presentation that day was, “Why EPA’s Union of Professionals Opposes Fluoridation.”

Professor Paul Connett is the Executive Director of the Fluoride Action Network (FAN)
He has spoken and given more than 2,000 presentations in forty-nine states and fifty-two countries.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Dartmouth College and is a retired professor of environmental chemistry and toxicology at St. Lawrence University. In his fascinating presentations Professor Connett shares his wealth of information with you, bringing new research to light, including links between fluoride and harm to the brain, bones, and endocrine system, and informing us about how the evidence that fluoridation reduces tooth decay is surprisingly weak.
