A recent article entitled Neoliberalism – the ideology at the root of all our problems by none other than The Guardian columnist and social justice warrior George Mombiot regurgitates a well-worn polemic on the failures of the neoliberal model of political economy.

I agree that neoliberalism is undoubtedly a problem; a scourge even. However, reading between the lines when Mobiot says:

For Labour, the Democrats and the wider left, the central task should be to develop an economic Apollo programme, a conscious attempt to design a new system, tailored to the demands of the 21st century

I believe he is promoting the idea of “world government”.

This is a pet project for the “elites” of both the so-called “left” and so-called “right” who both synthesize into what I would characterize as “globalists”. The left want to do it through international institutions like the UN; the right through trade treaties and rules like NAFTA, GATT and WTO; TPPA and TTIP.

The EU and North American Union are also part of this agenda and this is where the left and right find synthesis. The “bureaucratic left” have their beloved international institution and the “corporate right” have their centralized lobbying utopia. In both cases this supranational system or world order serves the interests of the global power elite.

The first step towards world government is economic integration which is ultimately designed to fail in order to justify the next step which is political integration.

In both cases the foundations for world government are being laid. In fact we are effectively already living in a “de-facto” world government with both sides waiting for just the right crisis or confluence of crises, either real; engineered or outright fake, (i.e. natural disaster, economic collapse, pandemic, war, refugee crisis, climate change) in order to shift from a “de-facto” to “de-jure” status.

Ultimately Mombiot makes the deliberate mistake of conflating neoliberalism with capitalism. They are quite distinct. Neoliberalism abhors competition. The whole point of neoliberalism is to take down competition. Its central tenet is deeper economic integration and consolidation in order to control any form of competition from threatening the “cartel“ monopoly. John D. Rockefeller once said ‘competition is a sin’.

The problem with Mombiot is that he is presenting the world through the prism of the phoney left-right paradigm; a socialist framework. In reality both sides are controlled by the same globalists led by international bankers. This is well documented in the writings of Antony C. Sutton and Carol Quigley.

Globalization and the rise of transnational mega-corporations are the underlying pretexts for the drift towards world government and any of the crises mentioned above will serve as the ushering mechanism. Mombiot’s “authoritarian control freak left” will argue that “universal jurisdiction” is needed to address global problems caused by “neoliberalism” and the Rockefeller reactionary right will argue that the great unwashed masses aren’t sophisticated enough to understand the intricacies of the world.

I will conclude with quotes from a representative of the view of the “right” i.e. David Rockefeller in his biography Memoirs; as well a representative of the the view of Mombiot’s left i.e. The Club of Rome from its publication The first global revolution. In both cases world government is being mused about.

From Rockefeller:

Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world [government], if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.

From The Club of Rome:

Bring the divided nation together to face an outside enemy, either a real one, or else one invented for the purpose … In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together … All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself.

I suspect Mombiot is either a knowing operative of the global power elite or a useful idiot.

Either way he is promoting the ultimate end game of world government – an anti-democratic and unaccountable; scientific-technocratic and totalitarian global dictatorship that marries Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave new world with H. G. Wells Shape of thing to come.
